Commercialization Ideas for New Phase I Winners
The Business Focus Workshop (BFW) provides a unique opportunity for all MDA SBIR/STTR awardees to receive personalized business assistance. The BFW is a one-day program designed to help you consider and begin to address many of the aspects of commercialization. Attendees, usually four per day, collaborate with one or more business consultants
to develop a preliminary commercialization strategy. The attendees present their strategies to the other BFW consultants and participants. An open discussion of the strategy follows each presentation.
The exercise of developing the commercialization strategy provides a great learning experience. Also, the feedback received following the presentation gives each attendee valuable information and highlights other aspects to consider as they create a more formal commercialization strategy or business plan.
